What’s Going On – Ben Miller
Our class has had a good first week back and the children are really working hard on their school work. In math we have been working with place value and solving word problems. We just began a unit about Native Americans of Idaho, the children seem to be really enjoying it so far. Next week we will be beginning a reader’s theater unit on classic stories, the children will be creating their own reader’s theater and having an in class performance soon. I hope everyone had a nice winter break.

Library Trip
Next Thursday our class is going to the Garden City Library from 12:05 – 1:30. If you can volunteer please let me know.



Free Parenting Class
~Guiding Good Choices~

Guiding Good Choices is a 5 session prevention program designed specifically for the parents of children ages 9 to 14 (grades 4-8).
DATES: Thursdays January 12, 19, 26, and February 2, 9 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00pm

DaVinci Charter School Board and staff are updating the school’s strategic plan for the next three years. You are a very important part of this process - we need your input!

Please join us to share what you expect from DaVinci along with ideas on the best ways to make that happen. The discussion will focus on identifying what matters most to our school community, our biggest strengths and the best opportunities for DaVinci into the future.
